Technical Meeting on Emerging Applications of Plasma Science and Technology, IAEA, Vienna
Sep 19-22, 2023
Participated in expert sessions on plasma for contaminant removal.
I attended the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Technical Meeting on Emerging Applications of Plasma Science and Technology, held at IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The meeting brought together international experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss innovative plasma applications in areas such as water treatment, environmental remediation, medicine, agriculture, and industrial processing. I participated in sessions directly relevant to my research, including the use of plasma for the removal of contaminants from water and wastewater, strategies for addressing emerging pollutants, and integration of plasma processes in sustainable industrial systems. The meeting provided valuable opportunities to exchange technical knowledge, explore collaborative research pathways, and align my work on the SolarPlas project with ongoing international initiatives supported by the IAEA.
